A global company with local roots
Kingspan's story is one of a unique entrepreneurial spirit fueled by ambition and a positive attitude, as well as an incessant focus on industrial leadership in energy conservation.
It all started in 1965: Eugene Murtagh founded his engineering company in the yard behind the family pub in Kingscourt.
The company grew rapidly in the 60s and 70s. In 1975, in full growth, Kingspan moved to a new headquarters, now the HQ of the global innovation center: IKON (which opened in 2019)
